Shining accolades from the likes of Esquire and Bon Appetit have kept this restaurant in Chicago's dining spotlight. The dining room takes traditional Chinese artistic elements into the postmodern. Soft red light (hence the name) pierces through funky Chinese lanterns, the curved ceiling seems to flow across the room, and foliage adds a domestic touch. The innovative light fixtures are worth a look alone. The menu spans the Asian continent and features traditional Thai, Chinese, Malaysian and Vietnamese dishes, with a bit of Chicago thrown in.
