Fascinating foot museum |
1001 North Dearborn Street Chicago, IL 60610 +1 312 280 2880 / +1 312 280 2949 |
Dr. Scholl, the namesake of the company that brought us "Odor Destroyers" shoe insoles and a host of other footwear products, also founded the Scholl College in 1912. The museum within the college provides a history of the foot doctor's studies and inventions. An oversized skeletal model shows the intricacies of human feet. Also on display is the "world's biggest shoe." The size 35 kicks were originally worn (quite comfortably) by an eight-foot 11" gentleman. Admission is free. Review © 2009, Wcities |
