Eccentric taste in fine dining |
3210 North Lincoln Avenue Chicago, IL 60657 +1 773 665 2111 |
Conjured up by the same management team that created the colorful Chicago hot spot The Pepper Lounge, this restaurant is for those who want a slightly fine dining experience in an eccentric, hip atmosphere. The building is facade looks like the product of an eruption of aluminum ore. Meanwhile, the inside is surprisingly tranquil and candlelit. Renowned chef Gil Langlois dishes up a menu with Asian and Cajun accents, including the tasty Indonesian chili spiced salmon Tartar with capers, red onion, olive oil and a palette of caviar, for $12. Or try the sesame miso seared scallops with a vanilla bean and cantaloupe emulsion for $8. Sample the nice tandoori chicken "Tart" with fresh mozzarella in a chive balsamic oil for $7. Average menu prices float around $8, with the more expensive dishes topping out around $12. Review © 2009, Wcities |
