Nestled in the Wickerpark area is The Violet Hour, which is known for potent shots, delectable bar-food and Kubrickesque decor. The oft-overlooked location is apt for a secret rendezvous or if you want to keep a low profile. The uniformed bartenders keep the spirits flowing, while broiled duck meatballs and other menu items keep tasty company. The bar/lounge restricts the use of cellphones, but is a great spot for after work unwinding nonetheless.
