Jade Stadium is currently undergoing extensive redevelopment, aspiring to the title of the ultimate spectator stadium and sporting landmark. This Christchurch to Akaroa cycling event, is open to both mountain and road bikes. Competitors can enter as either an individual, a team of two or four. The 100 kilometre course is both challenging and scenic and includes extremely fast downhill sections and lung busting uphill climbs. Riders start at Cathedral Square and head up Colombo Street, climb the historic roads of the Port Hills, before descending into Akaroa and the finish line.
