The recently redeveloped Hornby Mall, a medium-sized suburban shopping complex in the western suburbs of Christchurch, is home to 40 specialty shops. Of these the major tenants are New World Supermarket, The Warehouse, Briscoes and Deka. During the school holidays there is usually plenty of entertainment for the kids, with regular children's stage acts and promotions. This international-class course is one of the most exclusive golf courses in Canterbury and New Zealand. It has been the only golf course in the South Island to host The New Zealand Golf Open.
