Denmark's most recognised florist, Erik Bering, sells from his shop on Købmagergade bouquets and flower arrangements made for celebrities as well as for ordinary people. The shop, opened in 1972 in a former glove shop. It has been kept in its old style, with a hand-painted glass ceiling and an iron staircase and balcony. The window display outside the shop varies with the seasons. Erik Bering is also royal purveyor to the Court, and so delivers all kinds of flower arrangements to the Royal Family. Danish Designs |
Vesterbrogade 137 Copenhagen 1620 Denmark +45 33 24 9493 http://www.dzoo.dk |
Designer Zoo is a project between seven young Danish designers, who work on and sell their products from the same address- a small white house on two floors opposite the Black Horse Theatre on Vesterbrogade. Karsten Lauritsen designs and produces furniture in wood and metal, and Mette Saabye designs original ornaments and earrings, whilst Bettina Schori works with glass and metal and produces watches. In addition they sell things made by clothes designers, potters and bag designers. Every Friday a smoking bar is held in the basement, where it is possible to have a longer chat with the designers. Be Inspired by the Selection |
Vesterbrogade 6D Copenhagen 1620 Denmark +45 33 11 1107 http://www.inspiration.dk/ |
Inspiration is quite a trendy nationwide chain (with 43 stores in Denmark) that specialises in somewhat finer ironmongery and hardware. Everything can be found here from glasses to dinner sets, kitchen accessories to stuff for the bathroom, living room and bedroom. There are also rich sources of inspiration for those who are looking for nice presents for friends or family. The designer goods include many Danish products, but also foreign makes can be found on the shelves. You will not find many retail products in Inspiration. The prices on some of the designer goods are not for the needy; but the selection is enormous and you will quite surely be inspired after a look through the store. Review © 2007, Wcities |

The Latest Home Accessories |
Købmagergade 62 Copenhagen 1150 Denmark +45 33 32 80 70 |
On Købmagergade, one of Copenhagen's best pedestrian shopping streets, you will find the trendy Lisbeth Dahl shop. Incidentally, Lisbeth Dahl is the name of one of Denmark's most famous actresses, but actually this shop has nothing to do with her. In any case, Lisbeth Dahl, the shop, is worth a visit, as it is packed with great things for your home. Upstairs, you will find quirky lamps, beautiful vases and kitsch candle-holders. Downstairs, there are things for the kitchen - washing-up brushes like you have never seen before and other fun stuff. Keep in mind that what you buy here will be the latest in interior fashions, which is why you will probably find the shop a bit expensive. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Museum And Antiques Shop |
Sondre Fasanvej 5 Copenhagen 2000 Denmark +45 3314 0229 http://www.royalscandinavia.com |
In Royal Copenhagen Antiques & Georg Jensen Museum, you can find exhibitions of work in silver by designers like John Fohde, Harald Nielsen, Sigvard Bernadotte, Arne Malinowski and other known artists who worked for the renowned silversmith Georg Jensen. This is the first and foremost a museum on the work of Georg Jensen, credited with being the greatest silversmith of the last 300 years. The exhibition contains amongst other things photographs, letters and original hand-made creations from 1904-1935, which was his most productive period. In the antique shop, it is possible to buy some of his older, rare and unique silverwork, jewellery and cutlery. Review © 2007, Wcities |
