Old and Antique Books |
Nordre Frihavnsgade 18 Copenhagen 2100 Denmark +45 35 38 45 98 |
Antikvariat Æseløret means 'Dog-eared Antiques'. This little bookshop with antique books is on Østerbro, the cosy and calm part of Copenhagen, Northeast of Søerne. It is small and ordinary, and the atmosphere is slightly old-fashioned. Antikvariatet Æseløret deals in books of every kind, fiction as well as non-fiction. In the fiction genre, the focus is on English, French and German authors. In the non-fiction genre they concentrate on History. The selection is not very wide, but you can find fine titles here. All In One |
Rosenvængets Allé 7A Copenhagen 2100 Denmark |
What do you call a bar, a delicatessen and hairdresser under one roof? Well, right, a circus! And that's exactly what the owner chose to call this peculiar Trinity of shops on Rosenvængets Allé. Standing in front of the complex you won't know what to think, but once you step inside you will discover that there is logic behind this Monty Pythonism. As you enter the delicatessen, which is in the middle of the Circus complex, a smell of something southern meets you. Is it the sausages? Is it the cheese? The hams, the olives, the open wines or just the pure smell of handpicked quality? It is obvious that in this house food is treated with all the respect it deserves, and the customers love it. The row of delicacies seems never-ending and the service is nice and careful. Remember to order a sandwich before you go next door to the hairdresser on the far right. Sit down, relax and treat yourself to a haircut that is oh so Copenhagen. The hairdresser is young and charming, and knows your hair better than you probably do. 45 minutes later you are ready to walk to the other end of Circus where your lunch date is waiting at the bar. This friendly baker is already legendary among native Copenhageners. On early Sunday mornings, you may find yourself queuing for ages in front of this shop and when you taste the freshly baked Verona bread, you will know what the waiting has been all about. Apart from the Verona-a classic-try the Barsja bread, which, according to the owner, is the best bread in the house. All products are 100% organic. The only credit card accepted is Dancard.
