Denmark
+45 33 36 64 00
http://www.fisketorvet.dk/
This is the first real shopping mall in the centre of Copenhagen. The name refers to the original use of the premises as the main Copenhagen fish market. The new shopping centre is an interesting experience. Not only will you get to choose from more than 100 good shops, fifteen tempting restaurants and a huge cinema complex, but you will also see a beautiful piece of Danish architecture. Built on the waterfront, on four floors, the centre has excellent views.

Frederiksberg Centret is a large shopping centre in the part of town northwest of Søerne (the Lakes). It was built only recently and is quite an impressive piece of architecture. An enormous amount of glass has been used in the structure of this building, bringing light and an impression of space. The shopping centre consists of a multitude of shops on two floors, in different sizes and genres: fashion, food, books... practically everything you can think of. There are also cafés and restaurants. Furthermore, Frederiksberg Centret contains a fruit and vegetable market. The prices are about average but of course vary from shop to shop. Parking is free on the top floor of the shopping centre.

Østerport Railway Station

Beautiful Station in the Middle of Town
Oslo Plads 8
Copenhagen 2100
Denmark
+45 7013 1415
Østerport Station, with its arches, heavy entrance and beautiful pillars, is a remarkable piece of architecture dating from the end of the 1800s. It is located in the former site of the eastern gates to the embankments around Copenhagen. Today, it is a busy connection-point between the internal S-train system of Copenhagen and the regional trains that go further north to northern Zealand or to the Sweden ferry. At the same time, the area around Østerport Station functions as a shopping arcade which has the supermarket Irma, a kiosk, burger shop, restaurant, post office and greengrocers. This is a very nice place to shop, and when you are waiting for your train on the platforms, under the wooden ceiling, take note of the beautiful arc that the construction forms.
