1.8 million people live in the Danish capital city. This means a third of all Danes live in Copenhagen, and also that almost half of all the bus traffic in Denmark is carried out here, on the yellow HT-buses. On a normal weekday, about 8,20,000 people ride on 16,000 bus journeys in the capital region. That means 4 million hours of driving by HT in a year. There are 9,800 bus stops in Copenhagen, 1,500 buses and 3,600 conductors. A normal HT-bus is 12 metres long and 2.5 metres wide. It has room for 70 passengers, of whom half may sit down. A link-bus is 18 metres long and has room for 110 passengers. On the company's web-site, you can find direct information on the particular bus you wish to take, by checking yourself or sending in your details. You will also see information about special announcements, such as delays, or get help with finding the right bus you want, with a map of its exact route. You can even buy tickets and travel cards. There's information on how much tickets cost and where you could buy them. You can also read about the subscription service, and about how you can get your travel cards sent directly home to you each month, possibly with a discount. Please note that the web pages are only in Danish. Tickets can also be bought on the buses, and at some supermarkets.
