Bells of Shandon Chimes all day long

One of Cork's most famous attractions, the bells of St Ann's have been ringing for well over 200 years. You can even ring the bells yourself! There are eight in total, and provided music sheets detail the sequence in which the bells should be rung. It's possible to chime Mull of Kintyre, Molly Malone and even Don't Cry for Me Argentina. Step up to the balcony for a panoramic view of the city. Trouble finding the church? Look for the golden, salmon-shaped weathervane. Admission is IEP2. Review © 2007, Wcities

English Market Unique, sensory experience

The English Market is one of Cork's greatest assets, with an array of butchers selling traditional Cork meats, fruit and veggie shops selling at discount prices, fishmongers, Italian and French cheese stalls, fresh bread stands and more. Early in the morning, chefs from various restaurants and cafes drop in to buy their supplies. During the day, many residents of the city pass through to do their own shopping.
