A phrase like upscale Tex-Mex may seem like an oxymoron, but one of Dallas' more successful restauranteurs, Gene Street, produced another interesting dining concept in this upscale Tex-Mex restaurant. The decor is art deco/Southwestern with a dash of Spanish mission. Specialties include the Botanas Platter (pork-filled tacos al pastor and grilled shrimp), and Chicken Tampico, (grilled breast with artichoke hearts, mushrooms, spinach, sour cream sauce and melted jack cheese).
