Owner Pascal Cayet's bistro boasts a true gourmet French atmosphere with an adjacent patio that faces the action on McKinney Avenue. Chez Gerard offers a charming and relaxed eating experience. The tiny tables are dressed in brilliant white linens that match the serving towels the waiters carry on their forearms. The service is incredibly efficient and extremely polite. Epicural selections include Garlic Snails and Frog Legs, Pheasant and Sweetbread Mousseline and Veal Liver with Raisins. The vast wine list is dotted with semi-obscure French wines.
