Basically a fast food Chinese cafe, General Joe's provides an excellent selection of traditional Chinese food. This cafe, in the shadow of Southern Methodist University, is a hang-out for residents, students and anyone "on the go". The retail storefront location has plate glass windows and industrial tile on the floor. The high volume of walk-in traffic doesn't seem to mind. It is strictly serve yourself and menu items are a-la-carte. Snow peas and water chestnuts served with steamed rice, steamed dumplings and wonton soup are among the favorites on General Joe's extensive but traditional menu. Review © 2009, Wcities |
