Since 1995, Tom Thumb has been the presenting sponsor for the annual Oktoberfest 5k and Run for the Children One Mile Fun Run, which is held in conjunction with the Town of Addison's Oktoberfest Celebration. Held on the third Saturday in September, the run is the highlight of the year for local runners. The Oktoberfest 5k features plenty of German bier immediately following the race. The 2007 Oktoberfest 5k Run is scheduled for 22 September (Saturday). Location and Parking: Addison Arts & Events District (Addison Circle and Quorum Drive). Free parking at the northwest corner of Arapaho Road & Dallas Parkway.
