This museum depicts the history of women in America by telling their stories in a variety of permanent and special exhibits. Its primary mission, however, is the advancement of current feminist issues in order to ensure a bright future for women in America and throughout the world. Permanent exhibits housed in this impressive building include the Electric Quilt, a 30-foot-high matrix of 35 image patches of illuminated photos, quotes, colors, and video cubes, and the Wall of Words, a display of quotations from notable women in history.
