Blue Line Bar and Grill

Juicy steaks n' burgers!
5151 Leetsdale Drive
Denver, CO 80246
United States
+1 303 316 3920
If you don't mind crowded and noisy venues, the Blue Line Bar and Grill is your best bet for a round of drinks and regular, all-American food. You can dig into a good old cheeseburger, or then a thick, juicy steak, and chug down a few beers with the guys. In case you're in the mood for some singing, move on to the karaoke bar, where you can experiment in the midst of an encouraging crowd. Happy hours are from 3p-7p, and 10p onwards.

The only catch is trying to snare a table, for it is always busy. The bar serves 19 beers on tap and 120 in bottles. For dining options try the bar's famous homemade green chili or a plate of cold pot roast with horseradish sauce. There is also a poolroom in the back.

Named for the late Chopper Travaglani, a longtime trainer for the Denver Nuggets, this upscale sports bar attracts the 30- and 40-something crowds of Cherry Creek. The bar has a lot of televisions for sports watching. Darts, pool tables and video games are available. There is outdoor seating and a bar area available for lounging in the open air during the warm months. Try one of its excellent pizzas. The hand-rolled dough gives the pies a special taste. It also serves burgers, sandwiches, soups, and salads.

Rodney's

Hang with the Cherry Creek regulars
2819 East 2nd Avenue
(at Detroit)
Denver, CO 80206
United States
+1 303 394 3939
When your low-maintenance dining mood hits you, retire to Rodney's for a good burger, a juicy steak, or a club sandwich. Its downstairs location lacks any sort of natural light, but the dimly lit setting mixes well with the smoky, yet upscale ambiance. This is more of a place where old guys in suits like to come and sip cognac and smoke cigars after a long day at the office. Occasionally, however, it does attract some of the trendy Cherry Creek crowd stopping in for a nightcap.

RooBar

Hard-to-find gem
158 Fillmore Street
Denver, CO 80206
United States
+1 303 322 2525
http://www.roobardenver.com/
Strolling through Cherry Creek North's Fillmore Plaza, populated with modern glass towers and upscale boutiques, it is easy to walk right past this fashionably obscure nightspot. The bar resides in the basement of the four-story Janus building. But this place is anything but sterile. Roo Bar consists of two basic rooms: a pool room with six tables covered in purple felt, and a dark smoky lounge by the bar, housing comfortable sofas and large booths to sit back and enjoy a good conversation. The food menu offers standard bar food such as burgers and wings, but the famous martinis are superb.
