The Party never Stops |
1451 Cortez Street Denver, CO 80221 United States +1 303 426 6628 |
This place serves as a popular party venue. It caters for private parties, functions and birthdays. The food is really good, especially the grilled delicacies. The bar is well-stocked and the concoctions flow through the day. The place turns into a nightclub over the weekends and the party just never stops. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Lively nightclub in historic church |
1160 Lincoln Street Denver, CO 80203 United States http://www.the-church.com |
Located in a turn of the century stone church, this place is Denver's hottest nightspot and trendiest disco. The crowded main dance floor resides where pews once rested and a high tech lighting system flickers among awe-inspiring stained glass windows. Other rooms adjacent to the large dance floor offer sushi and pizza and inviting booths for lounging. For a complete diversion put on the white make-up and black leather and head downstairs to the dimly lit Goth room. Another room downstairs plays host to local bands. The cover can be pricey, especially on weekends. Admission varies, usually USD10. Review © 2007, Wcities |

An old favorite |
1630 Market Street Denver, CO 80202 United States +1 303 436 1144 http://www.crocsmexicangrill.com/ |
A hot spot for singles, Crocs brims with energy. On the weekends, it clears out the tables in the backroom for dancing. A DJ spins everything from techno sounds to '80s greats. The joint was one of the first in the area to have the exposed brick wall loft look, and the mammoth crocodile hanging above the bar makes for an interesting drinking topic. The menu offers Mexican fare such as burritos and tortas as well as special dishes like Shrimp Diablo and Cilantro-Jalapeno Cream Pasta. There are burgers and sandwiches too. The full bar includes microbrews. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Dance club for everybody |
4040 East Evans Cross Street Colorado Boulevard Denver, CO 80222 United States +1 303 758 6853 |
Long before swanky nightclubs infiltrated the trendy LoDo and Capitol Hill neighborhoods, the Dead Beat Club was one of the few places in town to get a groove on. With a lifeline stretching back to the late 1980's, the club has managed to endure numerous musical fads, and continues to draw a diverse, down-to-earth crowd. A maze of rooms occupies three floors and offers three dance floors. The music spans the 70's, 80's, and 90's, and encompasses techno, pop, house and trance. Thursday's Ladies Night is the busiest night of the week. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Where the local bands play |
1578 South Broadway Denver, CO 80210 United States +1 303 777 5840 http://www.hermanshideaway.com |
Herman's Hideaway is reputed to be one of the best places to see live music in Denver. The club could easily pass for a biker bar and takes pride in its scruffy look. The inside is dark and smoky and bars line both sides of the room. The hottest local bands rock the club during the week and occasionally you will see a national act take the stage. Among some of the accomplished artists who played here in the past are the Dave Matthews Band, and the homegrown jam group Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Cover charge starts from USD4. LoDo nightclub |
1914 Market Street Denver, CO 80202 United States +1 303 292 5641 |
This is one of the few nightclubs in Denver that have outlasted the competition and managed to keep their doors open. Strut your dance moves to a different style of music every Wednesday through Saturday at this LoDo watering hole. The DJs spin techno, 80s hits, and the always-reliable disco. Enter the establishment through two garage doors that open onto the street. If you are hungry, you can find the typical bar food here, and a full bar selection to wash it down with. Eclectic entertainment |
2199 California Street Denver, CO 80205 United States +1 303 294 9281 http://www.mercurycafe.com |
The owner of Mercury Café calls it a community center. The cafe exudes a vague hippie aura and serves as a restaurant, bakery, coffeehouse, dance club and concert hall. It is hard to pinpoint the exact style of this eclectic nightspot, serving up everything from Celtic and Cajun to theater and poetry. Swing and salsa bands are regulars on the second floor, which accommodates 350. The main dining room might feature a concert pianist one evening and a string quartet the next. The dinner menu offers salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes and steak. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Sights and sounds of the 1970s |
2301 Blake Street Denver, CO 80205 United States +1 303 382 1976 http://www.pollyesthers.com |
Although hot pants and platform heels are part of the desired dress code, Polly Esther's remains one of the most up to date, uninhibited nightclubs on the Denver scene. Boogie down to the Hustle on the checkered strobe-lit floor or do the Le Freak to sounds of The Chic. The basement disco, Culture Club, caters to the 1980s disciples of new wave sounds and big hair bands. The place packs tight, especially on the weekends, so be prepared for a long sweaty night of frenzied dancing. Plus, the drink prices are very high. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Legendary nightlife |
1614 15th Street Denver, CO 80202 United States +1 303 572 7625 http://www.rockislandclub.com/ |
Rock Island is a solid and, some say, legendary staple of nightlife in Denver. The club, located in a warehouse covered with giant bug artwork, is one of the few nightspots left over from LoDo's seedier days. Although the surrounding neighborhood is a bit more upscale, you will still find an interesting assortment of "where-do-they-come-from" characters inside the club. On Saturdays, the 16 and over crowd floods the joint until 11:30p. After that, it is 18 and over. Other nights feature diverse offerings from local live music, theater and performance art, to fetish theme nights. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Spacious salsa club |
99 West 9th Avenue Denver, CO 80204 United States +1 303 572 8006 |
At La Rumba, formerly known as 9th Avenue West, sultry salsa dancing takes center stage. Within this spacious and colorful club, decorated down to the bathrooms with art from Picasso and his contemporaries, comfortable couches and sleek tables line the slick-tiled floor which gives way to salsa dancing through the night. This is one of Denver's few clubs that will make you feel out of place if you enter in T-shirt and shorts; dress is very classy. Free salsa dance lessons are given Thursday and Saturday nights at 9:30p. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Just the right note |
1320 15th Street Denver, CO 80202 United States +1 303 629 5299 http://www.sambucajazzcafe.com/ |
This suave Denver nightspot, which breathes jazz into the city, is an eclectic supper club full of textured colors and intimate seating. With such a setting it is hard to believe that it is a southern chain. The jazz is live every night of the week, so naturally the atmosphere is easy going and hip-although you will find plenty of baby boomers dressed to the nines. Selections from its ambitiously creative menu include steaks, seafood, pastas and elaborate salads. Review © 2007, Wcities |
