An original pub
4700 Cherry Creek Drive S
Denver, CO 80246

For more than 25 years, the Bull and Bush pub has been offering patrons a cozy place to drink in an authentic London atmosphere. The interior is weathered and worn, yet the dark wood, red glass lanterns, and coppertop bar still manage to exude a Victorian feel. Eight to 10 microbrews are always on tap. Each emulates the finest intoxicating flavors Great Britain has to offer. To complement the beer, you can order the standard pub grub, including burgers, sandwiches and wings. But the highlight of the menu is definitely the fish and chips.

Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House

Big steaks and a reputation for ambiance
8100 East Orchard Road
Denver, CO 80111
United States

Despite the tuxedo-clad waitstaff this place manages to be upper upscale without seeming overly pretentious. Inviting leather couches surround a cozy fireplace, making its cigar lounge a special place for enjoying a fine single malt scotch. All of its steaks come in generous portions and are large enough to share. Seafood options are offered. But most impressive of all is the wine list, which is big enough to come with Cliff Notes. Desserts include homemade ice cream.

Old Hole Sports Grill

Drink Cheap, Eat Cheaper
990, South Oneida Street
Denver, CO 80224
United States
+1 303 388 2883
An old hole with a new name, this sports grill was part of a local chain called Jackson's Hole until 1999. New owners raised the bar, so to speak. Since then, it has earned a reputation as one of the city's top places to go for sports with its numerous televisions and its pool and dart spots. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 4 to 6:30pm, with a free buffet thrown in on Fridays. With relatively cheap drinks and no cover charge, that price can hardly be beat for a fun evening of slurping and sleeve-wiping. Charge! -Theresa Ludwick
