Location for sports fans |
901 Auraria Parkway Denver, CO 80204 United States +1 303 607 0002 |
Located just 50 yards from the Pepsi Center, this bar is very popular with sports fans before and after the games. Two bar areas provide lots of space to drink and roam about, and the 73-inch, high-definition screen displays are great for watching games. Bar fare fills the menu with tasty appetizers including an excellent steak sampler. Predictable burgers and sandwiches comprise the dinner selection, but the Pulled Pork sandwich is a good choice. Aged prime rib comes in three variations. Review © 2007, Wcities |

A place for the sports crowd |
80 South Madison Street Denver, CO 80209 United States +1 303 399 4448 http://www.chopperssportsgrill... |
Named for the late Chopper Travaglani, a longtime trainer for the Denver Nuggets, this upscale sports bar attracts the 30- and 40-something crowds of Cherry Creek. The bar has a lot of televisions for sports watching. Darts, pool tables and video games are available. There is outdoor seating and a bar area available for lounging in the open air during the warm months. Try one of its excellent pizzas. The hand-rolled dough gives the pies a special taste. It also serves burgers, sandwiches, soups, and salads. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Near Coors Field |
1320 20th Street Denver, CO 80202 United States +1 303 297 8300 |
Sports fans love this place for you can see a TV from just about any seat in the house. However, its Old West hunting theme with wild game trophies protruding from the walls. This is not the place to find fine dining for it offers nothing more than a basic burger and fries menu. If you are looking for beer, this place specializes in Colorado brews and offers 20 native selections on tap. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Upscale sports bar |
4100 East Mexico Avenue Denver, CO 80222 United States +1 303 300 6666 http://www.thelazydog.com |
This is one of the few sports bars that does not bang you over the head with sports memorabilia. Sure, you will find a nice collection of signed jerseys and autographed pictures, but they are not plastered over every nook and cranny. The wide-open dining room boasts two 10-foot televisions, while 26 other TVs are strategically positioned around the restaurant. Besides the usual bar food offerings it also serves steaks, specialty sandwiches such as the Boulder on the Coast (yellowfin tuna stuffed between focaccia bread), pasta and pizza. This is one of the few nightclubs in Denver that have outlasted the competition and managed to keep their doors open. Strut your dance moves to a different style of music every Wednesday through Saturday at this LoDo watering hole. The DJs spin techno, 80s hits, and the always-reliable disco. Enter the establishment through two garage doors that open onto the street. If you are hungry, you can find the typical bar food here, and a full bar selection to wash it down with. Drink Cheap, Eat Cheaper |
990, South Oneida Street Denver, CO 80224 United States +1 303 388 2883 |
An old hole with a new name, this sports grill was part of a local chain called Jackson's Hole until 1999. New owners raised the bar, so to speak. Since then, it has earned a reputation as one of the city's top places to go for sports with its numerous televisions and its pool and dart spots. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 4 to 6:30pm, with a free buffet thrown in on Fridays. With relatively cheap drinks and no cover charge, that price can hardly be beat for a fun evening of slurping and sleeve-wiping. Charge! -Theresa Ludwick Review © 2007, Wcities |

Break for a ballpark brew |
2161 Blake Street (at 22nd) Denver, CO 80205-2010 United States +1 303 298 1587 |
Located in the Coors Field ballpark, this baseball-themed, sporty establishment serves a variety of microbrews and an above-average array of pub fare. Though it is owned by macrobrew giant Coors Brewing Company, it serves as an outlet for the company's small scale Blue Moon label. The beers here have won three Great American Beer Festival awards and two World Beer Cup awards. The brewery's friendly atmosphere is suitable for families or fans gearing up for the game. Sports fans delight |
1930 Blake Street Denver, CO 80202 United States +1 303 296 1930 |
Wander down to this sports bar if you want to watch your favorite team, for it offers five big screen televisions. A typical bar food menu offers big portions at small prices, making it perfect for groups. Bronco fans fill up the room on Sundays in autumn, so beware of showing other team allegiances; the people here are overbearingly obnoxious with their Bronco adoration. The rooftop patio bar provides refuge from the sports scene and a dance floor draws an older crowd on Friday and Saturday nights. Review © 2007, Wcities |
