Bull & Bush Pub

An original pub
4700 Cherry Creek Drive S
Denver, CO 80246
United States
+1 303 759 0333
http://www.bullandbush.com/
For more than 25 years, the Bull and Bush pub has been offering patrons a cozy place to drink in an authentic London atmosphere. The interior is weathered and worn, yet the dark wood, red glass lanterns, and coppertop bar still manage to exude a Victorian feel. Eight to 10 microbrews are always on tap. Each emulates the finest intoxicating flavors Great Britain has to offer. To complement the beer, you can order the standard pub grub, including burgers, sandwiches and wings. But the highlight of the menu is definitely the fish and chips.

Celtic Tavern

A true Old World tribute
1801 Blake Street
Denver, CO 80202
United States
+1 303 308 1795
http://www.celtictavern.com/
This Irish/Welsh/Scottish-themed restaurant resembles the literary den of James Joyce and begs for quiet conversation rather than the loud toasting of pints. Book-covered walls give it a, 'wow-I-wish-my-house-looked-this-cozy' type feel. Shepherd's pie, and Lamb Casserole confirm the restaurant's authenticity. There are also sandwiches and burgers, including the turkey burger, which is fun to order just because it comes with a side of cranberries. The bar is the longest in Denver, and a cigar room adds to the sophisticated ambiance.

Fado Irish Pub

Irish setting
1735 19th Street, Suite 150
Denver, CO 80202
United States
+1 303 297 0066
http://www.fadoirishpub.com
Everything from the music to the old-fashioned Irish whisky will remind you of the Emerald Island. When the owners made the pub, they set out to make an Irish experience and by all accounts did not fail. The dining and drinking areas were actually constructed in Ireland and shipped to Denver. If you need a "I-am-in-Denver" reality check, grab a seat on the deck and get an awesome view of Coors Field. Entree selections include corned beef and cabbage, Cottage Pie, Gaelic Steak and an all-day Irish breakfast.

Fagan's Restaurant and Bar

Working class pub
1135 East Evans Avenue
(at Downing)
Denver, CO 80210
United States
+1 303 778 6426
This popular pub does not possess a manufactured charm or upscale designer interior to draw in the crowds like many of the other downtown bars. Instead, Fagan's is a nice gathering place with a lived-in, rustic look that takes good care of its regulars and offers a friendly atmosphere for conversation and, of course, drinking. The menu is an interesting mix of Mexican food and traditional English fare. Try the chicken burrito or the tasty Shepherd's Pie. The full bar is stocked with Irish and English beers.

The Charbroiled Salmon Fish and Chips top a menu offering the standard fare of burgers, salads and sandwiches.

Locals' favorite watering hole

Locals gather at this Irish-style pub for Happy Hour Monday through Saturday from 4 to 7pm and 10pm to midnight for two-for-one well drinks and drafts.
