You have over a 100 varieties of Sushi to choose from and order a platter that will have a combination of 3-4 different rolls. Sip the Nigori's original flavor, the sweetest of all sakes. Lively nightclub in historic church |
1160 Lincoln Street Denver, CO 80203 United States http://www.the-church.com |
Located in a turn of the century stone church, this place is Denver's hottest nightspot and trendiest disco. The crowded main dance floor resides where pews once rested and a high tech lighting system flickers among awe-inspiring stained glass windows. Other rooms adjacent to the large dance floor offer sushi and pizza and inviting booths for lounging. For a complete diversion put on the white make-up and black leather and head downstairs to the dimly lit Goth room. Another room downstairs plays host to local bands. The cover can be pricey, especially on weekends. Admission varies, usually USD10. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Traditional Japanese country food |
1365 Osage Street Denver, CO 80204 United States +1 303 595 3666 http://www.domorestaurant.com |
Situated in a warehouse that contains a dojo, Zen garden, and Japanese folk art museum, Domo creates a simple blend of healthy cuisine and authentic Japanese country cooking. Each dish comes in large portions with an assortment of side dishes. The Sake Nabe, salmon and vegetables served in a light soy sauce, is an excellent choice. The Portobello Teriyak also rates as a fine selection. Domo also has an extensive Sake bar. The Japanese country decor provides some interesting visuals including a mammoth tree growing in the center of the dining area. Review © 2007, Wcities |

East meets West menu |
7950 East Mississippi Avenue Denver, CO 80231 United States +1 303 696 8471 |
It is not often that one can use the nouns 'New York strip steak' and 'Japanese restaurant' in one sentence, but this little nugget of dining diversity pulls it off. From the outside, it harbors all the appeal of a post-Christmas Visa bill, all of which makes the inviting interior that much more surprising. Besides the usual Japanese offerings of sashimi and various teriyaki dishes, the restaurant offers a huge sushi selection, as well as combo plates like filet mignon and lobster. Healthy food in a hurry |
790 E Colfax Avenue Denver, CO 80203 United States +1 303 837 9378 |
Ikano Bowl is the place to go if you want Asian food in a hurry, but still care about your health. The rice bowls here are great: topped with veggies or meat. You can get teriyaki, BBQ, or curry versions with the snap of a finger. The appetizers are also excellent and like everything else are shamefully inexpensive. Try the Moo-Shu Roll for a spicy treat. The atmosphere is bright and clean with decorative touches like lanterns and flowers, but you will be in and out before you have time to notice. Review © 2007, Wcities |

This restaurant offers a fast-food version of Japanese fare, complete with a drive-up window. Nonetheless, cardiac-conscious consumers will be happy with its healthy meals. Popular with locals and corporate customers, the restaurant serves up a seemingly endless selection of inexpensive and delicious meals. Among the favorites are rice bowls topped with a combination of meats and crispy vegetables, all basted with a teriyaki glaze and bolstered with a bowl of rice. Side dishes are equally tasty. Fresh and refreshing |
2019 Market Street Denver, CO 80205 United States +1 303 298 1864 http://www.morisushibar.com |
The main thing to know about this restaurant is to not judge it by its woefully plain exterior. The interior whacks you with a "wow-this-is-nice" surprise and is highlighted by a glowing aquarium. And, perhaps, best of all, this "growing-in-popularity" gem serves some of the tastiest Japanese food in the city. The eggrolls are flavorful and left open on one side so as to allow for visual confirmation that "yes, they certainly are full of pork and vegetables." The sushi bar is outstanding and offers a long list of options. Review © 2007, Wcities |

If You Knew Sushi |

With four locations in Denver, you'll never be very far from a Sonada's Sushi, should the craving erupt. Obviously, the fact that there are four of them says something about Sonada's popularity. From the very extensive sushi bar to the creations of the master sushi chefs, Sonada's is classic Japanese all the way. Hot seafood and vegetarian items are also offered, and regulars at Sonata's Sushi appreciate the Happy Hour specials: discounts on meals and 2 for 1 specials on wine, saki, and beer. Go and enjoy some food in the raw – the seafood, that is. -Theresa Ludwick Review © 2007, Wcities |

Sushi, still on the boat |
3460 South Locust Street Denver, CO 80222-7609 United States +1 303 757 3181 |
This dining room sports a definite sea theme, including a small canal along the sushi bar which the chef uses to float customers their orders-the dining world's version of Venice meets Japan. The restaurant recently hired a new sushi chef from Beverly Hills to liven up the menu and the results have been positive. The menu consists mainly of sushi, but it also offers chicken teriyaki and other Americanized versions of Japanese food. The sushi menu is extensive. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Sushi with the in crowd |
1487 South Pearl Street Denver, CO 80210 United States +1 303 777 0826 http://www.sushiden.net/ |
This restaurant is one of the more popular places to go for sushi in Denver. Its menu also offers tempura, teriyaki, and a variety of traditional Japanese soups like Udon, but the sushi is the best bet. The atmosphere borders on chaotic: patrons crowd just inside the door; the hostesses, waiters and waitresses fly around in a frenzy, and the sheer noise from the dining room borders on overwhelming. But it brings out the local trendsetters and is the place to be seen. Lunchtime, however, is more relaxed. Review © 2007, Wcities |
