It's lucky that cows are not considered religious in all parts of the world, otherwise Brook's Steak house would definitely have a changed menu. Try this place for its fantastic line-up of food choices. The appetizers, soup of the day, salads and the entrees are all exotic ... but the specialty is definitely the Prime Steak and the Colorado Lamb, broiled to the temperature of 1700 degrees. Need something to wash this down with? ... You can choose from 1200 wines from all around the world. Take the suggestion of the staff, they are well-stocked with knowledge about wines and of course, food! Review © 2007, Wcities |

Brook's offers high-end steaks in a surprisingly casual atmosphere. The large, open room is comfortable and the service is anything but snooty. Do not be surprised if you run into John Elway here, he loves the place. Although steaks are the mainstay, the restaurant provides a varied menu, including seafood such as prawns, scallops and oysters. Filet, ribeye, porterhouse, and sirloin steaks are available a la carte. The wine list, one of the best in the state, features over 1,800 vintages. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Two brothers from England traveled America to find, and then duplicate, the best barbecue on the planet. Once they had the secrets and perfected the craft of tasty barbecue, they opened shop in Denver. The sauce, which is the key, makes the joint, and just about everything on the menu tastes good slathered in it. The KC Style Brisket sandwich and St. Louis Style ribs are the menu highlights. Sides include fries, beans and coleslaw. The lines can be long, so you might bring along some reading material. Review © 2007, Wcities |

For more than 25 years, the Bull and Bush pub has been offering patrons a cozy place to drink in an authentic London atmosphere. The interior is weathered and worn, yet the dark wood, red glass lanterns, and coppertop bar still manage to exude a Victorian feel. Eight to 10 microbrews are always on tap. Each emulates the finest intoxicating flavors Great Britain has to offer. To complement the beer, you can order the standard pub grub, including burgers, sandwiches and wings. But the highlight of the menu is definitely the fish and chips. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Despite the tuxedo-clad waitstaff this place manages to be upper upscale without seeming overly pretentious. Inviting leather couches surround a cozy fireplace, making its cigar lounge a special place for enjoying a fine single malt scotch. All of its steaks come in generous portions and are large enough to share. Seafood options are offered. But most impressive of all is the wine list, which is big enough to come with Cliff Notes. Swim into the Fresh Fish Company for Sunday brunch in a giant aquarium. Well, it least it feels like that anyway, with the walls of tropical aquariums surrounding you. Funny, but it has much more charm than eating a nice steak in a stockyard. The Sunday Brunch is a crowd pleaser, with all-you-can-eat Crab Legs and Shrimp. Also surprisingly good are its mesquite-grilled items. The service, however, can feel rushed and indifferent to the point of ruining your evening and prompting vows to never return. Jack-N-Grill went up the hill to a new location. Formerly on Federal Boulevard, the little Mexican restaurant not far from DIA is a jumping place that serves authentic south-of-the-border food with no apologies. Located in the Inverness Hotel and Golf Club, this pricey, upscale dining hall is a perfect getaway for romance. The open dining room exudes sophistication, and the white tablecloth treatment will make you feel like royalty. A jungle of foliage creates an intimate ambiance, and the mountain views enhance the romantic appeal. For appetizers try the escargot or shrimp bisque. The main entrées include salmon, tuna, lobster, lamb and caribou. An excellent wine list averages around USD35 a bottle. Review © 2007, Wcities |

One of Denver's best |
555 South Federal Boulevard Denver, CO 80219-2939 United States +1 303 922 2378 |
Do not let the adjoining junkyard of cars sway your initial opinion of this nugget of a place. As the first Vietnamese restaurant in the area, it is constantly recognized by the local media as one of the best restaurants in Denver. The menu is small, but the offerings are exceptional. The Spicy Dungenes Crab is a good choice. The Sinus-opening lamb with five spices and Stuffed Quail are also excellent selections. Lunch specials, though limited, are offered daily. Traditional Thai |
504 East Hampden Avenue Denver, CO 80110 United States +1 303 762 9112 http://www.tasteofthailand.net |
This upscale Asian establishment serves traditional Thai food, along with a host of inventive concoctions created by Chef Woy. Pad Thai and other traditional favorites fill the menu. If you are looking to further cultivate your Thai tastes try the lemon grass chicken (said to have healing qualities) or the fresh green papaya salad. The best part of the meal is when the sticky rice arrives; ball it up use it to sponge up other portions of food (from your plate, not others). Review © 2007, Wcities |

A Meat Eater's Paradiso |
8390, East 49th Avenue Denver, CO 80216 United States +1 720 374 2100 http://www.texasdebrazil.com |
Though it calls itself a "churascaria" (steak house), Texas De Brazil is a meat-eater's paradise: roasted Angus beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and Brazilian sausage – vegetarians may be converted – all of which are carved at your table and served hot with garlic mashed potatoes and fried sweet bananas as well as your choice of additions, from a 40-item salad bar to a variety of sides, appetizers, and desserts. They also serve seafood: lobster tails and shrimp. The atmosphere is fun and lively, as the meat carvers descend on your table at the flip of a green card signaling your readiness. -Theresa Ludwick Review © 2007, Wcities |

Fine continental fare |
3333 South Colorado Boulevard Denver, CO 80222 United States +1 303 759 3333 http://www.wellshireinn.com/ |
If dinner in a Tudor mansion decked with antique tapestries and stained glass, set in the middle of a golf course is your idea of the perfect night out, this inn is the place for you. This romantic restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has banquet facilities available if you decide to bring the whole clan. The fine Continental fare is supplemented with nightly specials and a Sunday buffet. The eight-ounce filet mignon charbroiled with wild mushrooms is recommended, as is the delicious Eggs Benedict. Come to the farm for the afternoon to visit animals at the petting zoo, and then stay for dinner and enjoy some down-home country cooking. Kids love all the activities the restaurant provides, including horse drawn carriage rides, a petting zoo and playground. Get ready for some family-style cooking, with tables full of corn fritters, red beets, cottage cheese, and other offerings. Entrees include broiled pork chops, grilled beef liver, and award-winning fried farm chicken. Desserts are just what you would expect from a country inn: pies, fruit cobblers and ice cream.
