Sumptuous house specialty |
1500 California St Denver, CO 80202 United States +1 303 623 4809 |
Chez Thuy Hoa is a cheerful restaurant opened by the original chef of T-Wa Inn. Decorated in a simple yet elegant style, with a forest of green plants and old-fashioned fixtures, this restaurant serves some of the finest Asian food in downtown with a heavy emphasis on Vietnamese fare. A fabulously popular place, especially during lunch, the soft shelled crab rates as the house specialty. Among other favorite dishes are the varying noodles bowls with grilled meats, vegetables and sumptuous sauces. Review © 2007, Wcities |

This little corner restaurant is like the supermodel of Asian dining for it possesses class, looks and charm. Brownish-copper tables and black chairs exude a very distinct and sophisticated look that says, 'these people know what they are doing.' Huge windows make it perfect for people watching.Weekdays feature wok tossed lunch specials with most for under USD6. Dinner specialties include hot Braised Shrimp, and Tofu Steak. No MSG is added to any of its dishes. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Authentic Vietnamese |

It is best to enter this nifty restaurant with an empty gut for the menu is large and diverse. You can start with the duck salad and then try one of the many rice noodle soups, which are all generous with shrimp and crabmeat, and one even includes winkle. And then for entrees, opt for one of the many rice noodle bowls or try something different like the Eel Hot Pot or the Spicy Stir-Fried Squid with Lemon Grass. Beer is available. Tasty Vietnamese |

Long Binh on Federal Boulevard, southwest of downtown, offers inexpensive Vietnamese food in spartan surroundings, and is good enough to draw quite a crowd of regulars. The service is quick and attentive, and the hot towels after the meal are a nice touch. The catfish is a delicious choice: the meat is not beyond recognition and it features a tasty ginger sauce with just a touch of spice. The soups are good and cheap, and a variety of Asian beer is on hand. Review © 2007, Wcities |

This dining-gem is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Denver and has been recognized numerous times by the local press. On weekends the place gets packed and tables are hard to come by, but the food is definitely worth the wait. The simple décor is nothing special and the weekend crowds slow the service, but the place is comfortable and serves great food. The menu offers a wild variety of dishes ranging from chicken and pork to Dungeness crab and frog legs. Vietnamese coffee and the ever-popular coconut juice are also available. Noodles is not the best sit down restaurant in the Cherry Creek area (although there are quite a few tables and chairs), but it is great for a quick fix. If you show up during the week for lunch, be prepared to wait. It is a popular stop for the business crowd. Macaroni and cheese, and all manner of noodle options and sauces are offered, as are Asian salads and Thai pastas. Be sure to check out the Indonesian, Vietnamese and Mediterranean creations. Beer is available, as is outdoor seating. Other Denver locations: 550 Broadway, +1 303 832 6000; 1460 16th St., 720 904 9590. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Noodles, noodles, and noodles |
472 South Federal Boulevard Denver, CO 80219 United States +1 303 937 2946 |
This restaurant serves nothing but varying combinations of noodle soups all made by Richard Lee. The most notable feature is that all the tables sport bright green tablecloths, creating the weird visual of being in a room full of lily pads. All the servings come in bowls the size of small wading pools. The Barbecued pork and the Roast duck are popular choices. Or for those who like to get the heady sense of tasting combustion try one of the five spice soups. Review © 2007, Wcities |
