Antique central since the 1970s |
1100-1600 South Broadway (between Dakota and Iowa Avenues) Denver, CO 80210 United States +1 303 744 0281 |
This stretch along South Broadway has been Denver's antique center since the 1970s. Building on a rich commercial history, when boarding houses, shops, and stables sprang up around the cable car route that led to attractions down south, Antique Row now contains approximately 100 antique stores with more than 400 independent dealers, who often work in cooperatives. A visit here will take you on a trip down memory lane from all the incredible memorabilia and eclectic merchandise. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Not the usual antique shop |
408 Downing Street (at Fourth) Denver, CO 80218-3921 United States +1 303 733 1915 |
There is a definite style about this antique chamber. Instead of the usual spread of lamps and knickknacks, this shop specializes in patio and garden ware, ornamental iron, and primitive but practical antique furniture. The antique hutches and cabinets harbor a weathered appearance and look like something one would find in the Sundance catalog. There are also iron sundials and candleholders and functional old-fashioned shaving stands, plus Denver's largest selection of Stanford clocks. Inventory is always changing, so shopping for that special item can be hit or miss. Review © 2007, Wcities |

High-end antique shop |
451 North Broadway Denver, CO 80203 United States +1 303 777 8700 http://www.eronjohnsonantiques... |
This is not your usual garage-sale type antique shop. Instead you will find highbrow antiques from the 17th-, 18th-, and 19th-centuries. While wandering its interior one half expects to overhear people discussing the latest news on those Lewis and Clark fellows. Portugese doors, hopelessly ornate French chandeliers, Gothic and wrought iron sconces, decanters and even period fireplaces are just some of the many international pieces available. The shop is constantly updating the stock and even features occasional exhibits. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Old Map Gallery |
1550 Wynkoop St Denver, CO 80202 United States +1 303 296 7725 http://www.oldmapgallery.com |
Whether you are in search of an old map for decorative wall purposes or for historic reasons, this antique cartography shop can probably satisfy your pursuit. It carries maps of the United States as well as individual state maps, many of which date back to the 1700s. There are also period maps of just about every country in the world including such tiny lands as Sri Lanka and mystical Tibet. The shop tries to carry old books by Hemingway and such, but its selection is small at best. Review © 2007, Wcities |
