Literary Longings |
2625 E 12th Avenue Denver, CO 80206 United States +1 303 399 2004 |
This feminist-angled shop is a literary paradise that promotes inner and outer peace. Selections include art, health, humor and history. The store also hosts a section of multicultural stories for children with the mission to promote equality between the genders. In addition to the fine selection of books, music is offered along with greeting cards and candles. Of course, men are welcome. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Not the usual antique shop |
408 Downing Street (at Fourth) Denver, CO 80218-3921 United States +1 303 733 1915 |
There is a definite style about this antique chamber. Instead of the usual spread of lamps and knickknacks, this shop specializes in patio and garden ware, ornamental iron, and primitive but practical antique furniture. The antique hutches and cabinets harbor a weathered appearance and look like something one would find in the Sundance catalog. There are also iron sundials and candleholders and functional old-fashioned shaving stands, plus Denver's largest selection of Stanford clocks. Inventory is always changing, so shopping for that special item can be hit or miss. Review © 2007, Wcities |

High-end antique shop |
451 North Broadway Denver, CO 80203 United States +1 303 777 8700 http://www.eronjohnsonantiques... |
This is not your usual garage-sale type antique shop. Instead you will find highbrow antiques from the 17th-, 18th-, and 19th-centuries. While wandering its interior one half expects to overhear people discussing the latest news on those Lewis and Clark fellows. Portugese doors, hopelessly ornate French chandeliers, Gothic and wrought iron sconces, decanters and even period fireplaces are just some of the many international pieces available. The shop is constantly updating the stock and even features occasional exhibits. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Since 1881 this family-owned art supply store has been helping foster Denver's creative community. You can find palettes, framing equipment, portfolios and artist backpacks, along with airbrush compressors, instructional books and videos. The shop also carries pastels, watercolors, acrylic and oil paints, models and manikins, drafting supplies, pens and top-of-the-line brushes. In fact, this shop is so complete it even has an airbrush repair center. The store also sponsors adult workshops. Review © 2007, Wcities |
