Bull Island was formed from the sandbank which accumulated behind the North Bull Wall and nowadays is a designated bird sanctuary. Almost 5km in length, Bull Island contains a large variety of plants and animals and is the feeding ground for up to 40,000 birds which migrate from the Arctic each year. The island's Interpretative Centre features exhibits, videos, slides and an interactive CD-ROM presentation, all of which demonstrate the ecological diversity and importance of the area. Admission is free. Review © 2009, Wcities |
