Thornton's is a little off the beaten track and can be found in what was once a terraced house in the Portobello area of the city. Formal service and terrific food combine to make this one of Dublin's best traditional restaurants - it has won many awards. Menu items alter regularly to reflect what's freshest and in season. The John Dory with a bisque of sauteed langoustines is delicious. This is good quality, unpretentious food in formal surroundings. Review © 2009, Wcities |
