Take up the challenge |
Queen's Drive Edinburgh United Kingdom +44 131 529 7794 |
The challenge is to make it to the end of the 10km course which begins in Holyrood Park. Being something of a Fun Run, this challenge is taken up by all kinds of people from the seasoned athlete to the hopelessly slow (but probably sponsored) beginner. First organised in 2000, the route takes in the Grassmarket, Princes Street and the Canongate, ending on the track of the Meadowbank Stadium. If you make it that far you deserve a medal, and that's what you receive. If 10km is just too much there's also a 1.5km Fun Run. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Located in the Leith neighborhood of Edinburgh, fans have nicknamed it "The Leith San Siro," a reference to the San Siro stadium in Milan, one of the most famous football stadiums in the world.
