This hotel is worth checking out for its seclusion and for its splendid location by Cramond Beach and Cramond Island, which you can visit during low tide. Four miles from the city centre, it's a fifteen minute bus ride into town. Bedroom accommodation is on three floors and the decoration is simple and contemporary.

In recent times, almost all backpackers have been on the Globetrotter's trail once they land in Edinburgh. Internet access is available, and so is a good bar to down that old ale in the evenings. Bunk and berth rooms are on offer, starting at £15 per person per night in a bunk room for 6 to 8 guests. Very affordable, eh! And yes, you are greeted with a free drink when you check in!
