The colorful ambiance starts at the entrance; a bright yellow and sky blue arched double entrance with rich wooden doors welcomes you to even more festivity inside. River Dining |
Via de' Bardi 58r Florence 50125 Italy +39 055 214 502 http://www.goldenviewopenbar.com |
Florence is popular especially with American students. However, there is plenty for other business or leisure travellers. Golden View Open Bar is the perfect place to dine for light Mediterranean or traditional Florentine cuisine, such as ribollita, the classic Tuscan vegetable soup, or the infamous Florentine steak. Accompanied with live jazz music, an impressive wine selection, and waiters that always encourage "just one more bottle" keep the restaurant lively. And then there's the elegance that comes with sipping your wine with the Arno River just right out the window. Review © 2007, Wcities |

One of the most lively bars in the city |
Via Faenza, 4r Florence 50123 Italy +39 55 21 0298 |
This Brazilian restaurant is undoubtedly one of the most lively and energetic establishments in Florence. A good time is guaranteed - whether you are sampling the specialties of the house such as feijoada or churrasco con farofa, or enjoying the various live acts which are put on after dinner, such as the capoeristi di Bahia or the Luis Bocana dancers. After midnight the bar becomes a Latin disco venue. Maracanà has great beers and excellent cachaca (sugar cane grappa) and its late hours make it perfect for night hawks. Review © 2007, Wcities |

A Cocktail in San Niccolò |
Via dei Renai 17r Florence 50125 Italy +39 055 243647 http://www.negronibar.com/ |
In the lively neighborhood of San Niccolò, within a few minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio, this tiny bar is packed with mostly young people in their 20's and 30's chatting, drinking and listening to the music from late afternoon till night. On weekends the place is so busy that, especially in summer evenings, the crowd spills out onto the outdoor seats and the sidewalk. A sumptuous buffet-style aperitif with a large choice of appetizers and a wide range of cocktails and long drinks is served every day from 7p. Lunch and breakfast are also served, and DJ music is featured on weekend nights. -Maria Frullini Review © 2007, Wcities |

Bar, restaurant and music venue rolled into one |
Via Pisana, 77r Florence 50100 Italy +39 55 22 1122 http://www.universalefirenze.it |
After years of closure, this once legendary cinema is enjoying something of a Renaissance as an enormous bar, restaurant and entertainment complex. People come here for a relaxing drink after work and then go on for something to eat in the restaurant, (which offers anything from pizza to gourmet and international cuisine), rounding off the evening with live cabaret, fashion shows or concerts. They have a huge private car park, accessible from Via della Fonderia (situated between Via dell'Anconella and Via Felice Cavallotti). Review © 2007, Wcities |
