This annual event, attended by over 100,000 people, is a major festival with music, arts and crafts, and children's activities It benefits more than 50 charities. Fresh local seafood is the theme here, offering a day of sunshine (hopefully) and family fun. Local restaurants prepare much of the seafood cuisine. Samplings of their fine cuisine are offered along the rows of food booths set up along the parking lot next to the beach. A highlight is the sinking of a derelict freighter offshore.
