Arty Lounge |
907, Houston Street Fort Worth, TX 76102 United States +1 817 336 2253 http://www.bentlounge.com/ |
This sleek, loft inspired lounge, located in Fort Worth's hip SoDo (South of Downtown) district is an art fiend and lounge lizards' answer to their prayers. Break away from the normal night scenes and enter a place where local artists get to showcase their works on the wall amongst comfy seating and DJs spinning every night of the week. Don't think that because Bent Lounge has an intimate atmosphere that it tends to be quiet and dull, because with room for 200 guests there are times when it's wall-to-wall people. Neighborhood-style bar |
903 Throckmorton Street Fort Worth, TX 76102 United States +1 817 332 8190 |
Climbing down a flight of stairs transports you to this warm, sheltered tavern reminiscent of neighborhood spots that graced the streets in days gone by. Opened in 1997, Black Dog Tavern is a favorite of the younger crowd. Walls painted a warm shade of red bring the mahogany-colored stools, tables and chairs to life. The comfortable setting invites lively conversation and laughter. Pool tables and dartboards are strategically placed to allow some friendly competition without overtaking the bar. The bar features Black Dog Ale from Colorado, in addition to other varieties bearing the tavern's name. Music is another subdued feature: Sunday night features a jazz jam, while thursday is reserved for an open-mike amateur's night. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Irish pub in downtown Fort Worth |
904 Houston Street Fort Worth, TX 76102 United States +1 817 332 4747 |
Located off the beaten path on the west end of downtown Fort Worth, Blarney Stone is a great place to get away from it all and enjoy an ice-cold beer. The Irish style pub is actually below street level, down a flight of stairs, so you feel like you are really secluded. But the friendly, old-fashioned atmosphere is comfortable and casual at this favorite downtown venue. A large variety of imported and domestic beers are served, as well as single-malt scotches. Wine bars are rare in Texas, and this one is among the country's best, so visitors to Sundance Square are in for a real treat. Owner Michael Baudouin came up with the idea for this place after living in Paris. More than 80 different vintages are available at Grape Escape, and the inventory changes regularly. Servings are available by the bottle, glass and half glass. Those who wish to increase their wine expertise may order a sampler plate of three, four or five one-ounce servings. Those who want food with their wine can choose from such light fare as cheese, carpaccio and small pizzas. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Texas to a "T" |
310, Houston St Fort Worth, TX 76102 United States +1 817 336 1009 http://www.reata.net/ |
If you ever though that the words sophisticated and cowboy just don't sound right in the same sentence, think again. The Reata serves up some of the tastiest down home Southwest fare in Texas accompanied with a friendly and refined atmosphere. The allure of the old Reata still exists despite the fact the original location no longer does. Inside, the Library Bar is decorated with salvaged copper trim from the tornado ravaged Bank One building where the Reata was previously housed, and the dining room is made to resemble the "old" 35-story view. So sit back, relax and reminisce as you dig in to a slab of ribs. Review © 2007, Wcities |
