Catfish Sam's is known for the best catfish.This restaurant is run by the Lester family, who have won several 'Texas Restaurant Association' blue ribbons. Fish chosen from the neighboring fish market is mixed into a stew-like soup with Cajun spices and vegetables.

The close proximity to DFW Airport makes it an easy trip if you are staying at one of the airport hotels. Menu favorites include the beach party platter—two pounds of crab and a pound each of shrimp and sausage. Other selections include blackened catfish, barbecued salmon with red onions, the Louisiana pot roast, and chicken breast dinner(grilled or blackened). Key lime pie and bread pudding with bourbon sauce are great dessert choices.
