Culinary soap opera |
Waldschmidtstraße 4 Frankfurt, HES 60316 Germany +49 69 6 0506 http://www.mousonturm.de/ |
A meeting point for actors and audiences from the Mousonturm, a soap factory turned theatre, the interior is bright and pleasantly modern, but things can get very busy during the interval. Customers can choose from a selection of different coffees, cocktails, beer, wine and soft drinks. The Indian chef adds an Asian touch to the fresh and delicate cuisine. When the weather is good, guests can take their drinks out onto to the terrace. Sunday brunch is particularly popular: try the sumptuous buffet once, and you'll soon be back for more! Swing your champagne glass |
Hanauer Landstraße 192 Frankfurt, HES 60314 Germany +49 69 480 0370 http://www.king-kamehameha.de |
The shooting star of the club circuit, King Kamehameha's popularity rests upon its ability to provide the perfect combination of tip-top drinks, excellent food and great service in an upmarket club atmosphere. The decor is swish yet simple, the clientele well-dressed and cultivated. DJs play a mix of jazz, soul, house and Latino sounds, to which the lucky few can swing their hips and sway their champagne glasses. Or you can simply stand at the bar and enjoy watching! Cultural centre |
Waldschmidtstraße 4 Frankfurt, HES 60316 Germany +49 69 4058 9520 http://www.mousonturm.de |
This tall brick tower was once a part of a large factory which produced Mouson soap. In 1988, the buildings were transformed into a cultural center consisting of a main stage and auditorium, as well as two smaller stages and a rehearsal room for musicians. There are also four art studios, a fully equipped sound studio, a theater workshop and a restaurant. The program is equally varied, featuring national and international dance acts, cabarets, theater ensembles and musicians. One of the few successful examples of transforming an industrial plant into an entertainment complex, this place is definitely worth a visit. Review © 2007, Wcities |
