It's a small hostel but ideal for groups, singles and couples. It offers all the facilities one would expect, including guests' kitchen, common room and showers. Great Western House is the crème de la crème of economically priced accommodation in Galway. It is very well situated, just adjacent to the train and bus station. It offers all the amenities you would expect to find in more expensive hotels, plus a sauna and games room thrown in. There are no curfews as friendly staff staff the reception desk 24 hours a day. Great Western House is highly recommended by different travel guides such as Lonely Planet, La Guide du Routard and the Rough Guide.
