A stupendous terrace on the rocks by the Nervi paths |
Passeggiata Garibaldi, Nervi Genoa 16100 Italy +39 10 372 8113 |
An established bathing complex with a wonderful terrace on the rocks by the Nervi pathway. In the winter, clients can eat outside, under a bower where the tables are protected from the wind by glass panels. Thus you can enjoy the February sun while eating a pizza or spaghetti with seafood. In the summer it is a fantastic venue, with tables placed directly on the rocks, only a few metres from the sea, next to a small natural pool carved into the rocks. The scene is already worthy of admiration, but in addition the management organise jazz jamming sessions to make the evenings even more pleasurable. Review © 2007, Wcities |

DJ and live music over the sea |
Passeggiata Garibaldi 27r, Nervi Genoa 16100 Italy +39 10 372 6312 http://www.bonfim.it |
On the rocks of the Nervi promenade, this place has a view over the sea from the large windows and has a small garden. It is a shame that it is closed in the day, but at night it is still a charming place with the reef lit up by the promenade lights. Recently renovated, the atmosphere is reminiscent of a Latino country because of the colours and interesting layout of tables and stools. Musical evenings with DJ's take place here as well as small, live concerts. When the place is crowded, go out to the terrace or walk along the promenade for a more peaceful setting. Live music in the historic centre |
Vico dietro il coro di San Salvatore, 2r Genoa, Genoa 16123 Italy +39 33 9185 7095 |
This nautical style bar, is located in the historic centre of Genoa, a few metres from Piazza Sarzano, a popular place on weekend nights. This place boasts more than 600 years of history; legend has it that a Saracen pirate, rather than plundering the area, fell in love with it and moved here to live. After enjoying the drinks and live music here, it is nice to walk down to Campopisano, which is a splendid, little square with a black and white cobbled terrace. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Historic jazz club |
Via S. sebastiano 36r Genoa 16100 Italy +39 10 46 7971 |
This historic jazz club is located in a place with a vaguely French atmosphere. The entrance is on the street, but once inside, visitors descend into a small room with a sophisticated atmosphere where the audience sits very near the musicians, although there are columns that obscure the view. The programme hosts little known, yet important, foreign guests. Steve Lacy, Max Roach and Calvin Johns have all played here. Local musicians also play here. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Live music evenings |
Piazzetta Santo Stefano, 6 Genoa 16100 Italy +39 10 56 2576 |
This is a great place to spend an evening with friends after dinner, drinking cocktails and listening to live music. There is an adult crowd in this restaurant and a disco bar, which is also a favorite with football players from the two local teams. It is also in a distinctive location, exactly inside the Monumentale Bridge which overhangs Via XX Settembre and offers a great view of the Roman church of S. Stefano which is opposite.
