In the fishing area of Bogliasco |
Via Mazzini, 183 Genoa 16100 Italy +39 10 347 2506 |
This is a small place in Via Aurelia. It has a sweet atmosphere, and wooden tables, located in the charming area of Bogliasco, an old, fishing area with multicoloured, terraced houses and a beach covered with fishing nets and cats in search of a fresh anchovy. It is a quiet district and is the perfect place to take a walk during the day and then stop here for an aperitif, while watching the surfers on the beach. Review © 2007, Wcities |

A trendy hangout |
Via Paraggi a mare, 10 Genoa 16100 Italy +39 18 528 6721 |
This place is about half an hour by car from Genoa, between Santa Margherita and Portofino, in the Paraggi bay, which is famous for its white sand and green water. This is the place to go to on the riviera, and is popular on Friday and Saturday nights in summer and winter. It is a beautiful club, with a veranda overlooking the sea, low ceilings and wooden structure. It is a restaurant for the first half of the evening, and towards midnight it becomes a disco. Entrance is reserved for those who have booked a table, those who personally know the staff on the door and anyone important looking! Ultra snobby atmosphere but also a fun place. On the Santa Margherita promenade |
Piazza Martiri della Libertà , 32 Genoa 16100 Italy |
If you find yourself on the Santa Margherita promenade on a Friday night, why not try out Sabot? While not too fashionable, it plays loud music, offers excellent cocktails and is open until late. The upstairs tables are a good place to sit, and this is a must in the summer, especially during the Portofino regatta at the beginning of May. Review © 2007, Wcities |

Latin evenings |
Via Brigate Salerno, 4r Genoa 16148 Italy +39 10 399 0872 |
In the Sturla district, this is a large disco that has started to specialise in Latin evenings with professional dancers who reveal their dancing secrets here. It attracts a thirty something crowd who want to have fun on the weekends. This is definitely the right place to come to for fun, as the atmosphere is often euphoric, with improvised collective dancing. Patrons are well dressed, with some bare flesh but nothing too extreme!
