It would probably be more accurate to call this a junk shop than an antique shop, but it does have the merit of selling very good junk. A trip here is an entertaining experience as the range of goods is incredibly diverse. They have a limited selection of furniture but a huge amount of costume jewelery, powder compacts and military oddments, as well as tin toys, books, ornate mirrors and china. Sometimes there's a fine line between kitsch and plain old tacky but both camps are well-represented in this fascinating shop. 1940s and 50s memorabilia and mechanical toys rub shoulders with old Star Wars figures, annuals, comics and big pub mirrors, so browse carefully and recreate your favourite era.
