Inexpensive restaurant with plenty of gambling |
Nils Ericssonsgatan 23 Gothenburg 41103 Sweden +46 31 15 1045 |
The Bookmaker bets its money on food, televised football and gambling, not necessarily in that order. The food is inexpensive, and the restaurant offers lunch on weekdays and a slightly larger selection in the evenings and on weekends. Fish and chips, burgers and other dishes are staple fare here. There are several different casinos and other games—blackjack, roulette and so on. There are also a few different food and drink offers on the Saturdays on which football games are televised. The nearest tram stop is Centralstationen, where trams 1, 3, 6, 7, 8 and 9 stop. Review © 2007, Wcities |

A Little Bit of English Fun |
Nordhemsgatan 19a Gothenburg 41328 Sweden +46 031 14 47 87 http://www.nottinghill.se |
The Notting Hill is an English pub situated about two minutes away from Jarntoget, a square near Haga. On Tuesdays and Sundays it plays host to a very popular pub quiz. On those nights the bar will usually be packed from 6p onwards. The rest of the week this can be a great place for a quiet drink, and during the weekends it is often busy with English speakers out for a night on the town. A blackboard behind the bar lists the extensive weekly drink specials. There is a full food menu available including scrumptious burgers. The pub is small but if you get a seat you can enjoy a reasonably priced beer in comfort. - Gerry Coburn Review © 2007, Wcities |
