The name of this place translates into 'Golden Prague'. Gyllene Prag serves traditional Czech food and here's the bonanza...pay for one glass of beer and get an unlimited supply for the evening. No wonder this restaurant has been a popular hangout since the 70s! A Sunday lunch costs 119 SEK including drinks.

Krakow promises genuine Polish food, and certainly delivers. Breaded cheese, pirogi and many other exotic dishes are specialties. It is recommended to have a local drink with your meal as well. Don't be fooled by the name, though; not everything on the menu is traditionally Polish. For example there are a few salad-based starters, and fish and chips appear also to be an until-now-unheard-of Polish culinary specialty. Trams 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 stop at Valand.

+46 31 24 3880 Petrushka is the only restaurant in Gothenburg with a vodka and caviar bar. Besides Russian starters and main courses there is a selection of soups, piroghi, bliny and Russian pasta. Petrushka's goal is to mix old with new and add a little extra of their own. The staff has no problem recommending appropriate beverages for your meal, and a quick course in restaurant Russian is not out of the question.

+46 31 16 0345 Restaurang?, or Frågetecknet (Question Mark), as it is really called, offers a variety of dishes from many countries, some with a Swedish touch. There are also several pasta dishes, which are available as starters, in smaller portions. The menu is international: the Bosnian speciality cevapcici shares the menu with the Italian dessert tiramisù. The reason for the questionable name is mainly due to all the problems that delayed the opening of the restaurant. Many questions were left unanswered and hence the owners decided to name the restaurant after them.

+46 31 711 7386 Sarajevo is a small Bosnian restaurant decorated in a cosy style. The staff are pleasant and enjoy telling the guests about the various dishes. The menu is not large and there are not many dishes to choose between. But those that do exist are genuinely Bosnian. The restaurant is able to arrange dinners for parties of five to fifty people, and will work out a menu together with the guests.
