Alexandras Greek Soup Kitchen is commonly called The Greek. You can buy soup, pasta or Greek specialities over the counter. Nowhere else in central Gothenburg can you get a good bowl of soup for SEK25, and only in a few places pasta for SEK35. And if you are not satisfied they will gladly give you second helpings. After eating, take your time to walk around in the market hall among cheeses and other delicacies from all over the world. Get here on trams 3, 4, 5, 6 or 8 to Kungsportsplatsen.

The interiors are classic, with wooden panels halfway up the wall and paintings that are changed regularly. SEK42 (EUR4.96) will buy you a bowl of vegetarian soup (different recipes every day), a cheese sandwich and coffee or tea. The café has a mixed clientele including mothers, students and older ladies.
