Ballooning is a very special experience and so is a view of the city from above, while you float in a soft breeze. Ballooning has become popular in Germany recently, and several companies offer roundtrips and flights in Hamburg. 'Ballons über Hamburg' start from six different launch fields and run this service from April to October. Depending on the weather conditions, there are flights lasting 90 minutes from the early morning until sunset. 'Orville-Flug' offer flights in all kinds of aircraft imaginable, as well as very exclusive balloon tours with a 5-star-dinner on board or at night when there is a full moon. 'Taucher-Air' guarantee a minimum of 90 minutes flying time and an unforgettable view of this beautiful city. This business is still quite expensive - tours cost several hundred Deutsch marks.
