The charm and flair of the Schanzenviertel is concentrated here. Punks, kids, intellectuals and everyday people all come to this place with its garish green walls and 50's decor. The café is actually surrounded by the lime-trees, which are the inspiration for its name. They certainly contribute to its popularity and make people want to stay that little bit longer, as do the 10 daily newspapers and the many magazines for customers to read over coffee.
