Once a week between May and October, the Alstertourism company offers a special boat tour of Hamburg's most beautiful ponds. All the ponds are located around and connected to the Alster. Among them are the Kuhmühlenteich behind Mundsburg canal, the Feenteich ('fairy pond') at Uhlenhorst, and the round-shaped Rondeelteich. The three-hour trip also takes you to the lake at Stadtpark, which can be reached via the Goldbek canal. The comfortable tour shows some pretty aspects of the city from an unusual perspective.
