The Funk-Eck is a traditional café with a nice open-air terrace. It is located near both the Landesfunkhaus (broadcasting buidling) and the tennis courts at Rothenbaum. You can have a lovely breakfast here all day long, which is particularly enjoyable in sunny weather, along with the good service provided here and a daily paper to read through. Hamburg´s media people still appreciate this. In good weather the terrace stays open until 10pm. The café also has very tempting ice-cream and home-made cakes and gateaux with a large choice of coffees. In addition to a changing lunch special, there are hot and cold snacks on the menu, as well as a variety of traditional meals and dishes from the wok. Review © 2009, Wcities |
