The Gazoline manages to remain stylish, yet uncomplicated. During the day it is mainly a café with cappuccinos and delicious cakes, and in the evening it becomes a pub with fresh draught beer. In summer you can sit outside on the pavement and watch the shoppers browsing on Bahrenfelder Straße. The Gazoline looks tiny from the outside - there is just enough room for one table and some armchairs at the window. The café is not that small at all, though, but rather oblong. If you pass the bar with the stand-up seats, you will get to the larger back room of the café-bar. There are candles and fresh flowers on the tables, and awfully comfy wicker-work chairs. This might seem a bit strange, but it is never boring-this is the right place for a pleasant conversation. Review © 2009, Wcities |
