With a long stretch of coast, dozens of rivers, canals and the Outer Alster lake, Hamburg is a paradise for water-sport lovers. The city has 25 official canoe clubs alone, all of which are members of the Hamburg Canoe Association. Those who fancy taking to the water can obtain information from the Canoe Association who will be happy to put you in touch with a canoe hire company. You will be given a plan of the canals, as even experienced canoeists can easily lose their way on Hamburg's 130km of waterways. There are hourly rates for canoe hire. Review © 2009, Wcities |
