The "potato cellar" in the historic Deichstraße is a really original restaurant with lots of delicious potato dishes. It provides you with proof (as if it were needed) that potatoes are very versatile. It is very cosy in this Old Town cellar. The many regulars and lots of tourists know and appreciate this, so it's best to book in advance. The interior has more than a slight potato theme-even the waiters and waitresses are dressed in potato-sacks. You can do a lot with potatoes-at very moderate prices. The menu has tasty soups, soufflés, sweet potato-pancakes, meat and fish dishes and even a potato spirit to finish off the meal. Review © 2009, Wcities |
