At home in a traditional country house which dates back to 1827, Landhaus Scherrer; named after the Scherrer family who have run it since 1976; is widely regarded as being one of the very best restaurants in town. The chef specializes in exquisite regional cuisine with an international touch, while the owner has made sure that the assortment of wine is equally exclusive. The majority of the clientèle are well-off locals. The bistro offers slightly less expensive dishes, which the chef prepares just as passionately as his specialty, vierländer duck.
